CVS Haul 11/11/11

Happy 11.11.11 :)

So this morning I received a coupon through my e-mail for CVS: $4 off of a purchase of $20 or more! I decided to take advantage of it since I had a couple things I needed to buy and stock up on anyway. Here's what I got:

Here's a list of everything I got and mini-reviews!

1. Gummy bears, my favorite candy! It was only $.88 :)
2. Carmex Original Moisturizing Lip Balm in a Click Stick form
3. Loreal's Project Runway Limited Edition Colour Riche Lipstick in Sultry Raven's Pout
4. EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint
5. Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Lip Care
6. Scunci 18 piece hair ties - Buy 1 Get 1 Free
7. Sally Hansen's Nail Art Pen in White
8. CVS Contact Lens Relief Rewetting Drops for Soft Contact Lenses
9. Loreal's Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black

I kind of went overboard with the lip balms, but with the winter weather coming in, my lips need extra care! I had used up all of my Nivea Milk & Honey lip balm and my Carmex in the original pot form so I decided to stick with those two brands again but just choose a different kind. One thing I hated about the Carmex in pot form was just sticking my finger in it... I'm kind of OCD about my hands being clean so I just decided to pick up the click stick form. And I've already used it and I loveee! As for the Nivea Milk & Honey lip balm, I wasn't too fond of the scent and so I decided to go for the original scent. I haven't opened it yet but hopefully the scent will fare better with me! I also got a back-up in the EOS Mint lip balm. I've never seen it in store so when I saw it, I just got tempted to buy it again. I love the EOS lip balms, I have the tangerine, passion fruit, and mint.

For the Loreal Colour Riche lipstick in Sultry Raven's Pout, I bought it for my roommate! This CVS was the 5th drugstore I've gone to for her - this Project Runway collection sold out reallyyy fast! I already have one myself but she's been lusting after it for...ever.. hahaha :) hi wifey, you love me? ;) <3 Anyhow, this lipstick is really comparable to MAC's Blankety and Loreal's Fairest Nude. But I think it's a bit more pink, a little more "blush" nude, if that makes sense? It goes on really smoothly and it's a perfect Fall nude color.

OKAY AND... Is it just me or has the Loreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liner in Carbon Black been IMPOSSIBLE to find lately?? I really thought that they stopped making it or something. And ever since I realized that it's been hard to find, I've been wanting it more than ever. When I saw it at CVS, I grabbed it and had to have it! I've been using Lancome's Liquid Artliner in Navy and I loveee the felt tip applicator - makes application so easy! This will be my first time trying the Lineur Intense. Is it really comparable to Lancome's Artliner? We'll see!

I also bought the Sally Hansen Nail Art pen in White because I've been wanting to try out their pens for awhile but what inspired me was Missglamorazzi's new video on "modern" french tip nails. She uses this pen and says it's super easy to use.. I tried it on my nail at the drugstore and it went on super opaque.. But it's been 1 hour and no trace of the color is on my nail anymore???! Maybe my Seche Vite will keep it in place when I try it out.... Otherwise, I don't know how good this staying power is, I'm already skeptical.

Lastly, I've just been in dire need for contact lense rewetting drops ever since the weather's been a little windy and dry. I was going to buy the Visine version because that was what I was using previously, but shrug, for $2 less, might as well go for the CVS version! And.. every girl needs more hair ties. Where do they all go?!? Don't know hahaha.

Oopsss, and very lastly... I think the gummy bear purchase is self-explanatory hahaha :) love themm.
