NOTD 11/17/11

Last night I was in the mood to do some nail design. This is what I ended up with!
Here's a clearer picture, a list of the products I used, and an explanation of HOW I did it! :)

1. Seche Vite - Base Coat
6. Seche Vite - Top Coat

1. I initially used Seche Vite's base coat to prevent my nails from getting yellow-ish, ugh we all hate when that happens. But for some reason I don't think it's necessarily all that avoidable. Using any base coat definitely lessens the yellow tint but I haven't found a base coat that completely prevents it.
2. Then I coated my nails twice with Sephora by OPI's Run With It!
3. French-tipped my nails (two coats) with Milani's Black polish (the thin-brush one made for nail art)
4. Carefully swiped two coats of China Glaze's Nova. It got a little goopy for the second coat so I just tried to place the sparkles in an even manner.
5. Cleaned up the sparkle with a stripe of China Glaze's Recycle, which is a darker grey with a dark dark green tint in certain lights. I used two coats for this.

I didn't use any tape or anything for any of the steps, but just had to have a super steady hand :)
