Sephora 11/12/11 Haul

After receiving my Sephora VIB Holiday Shopping Event - 20% coupon for the entire weekend of November 10-14, I knew that I had to stock up on a couple things. So much for saving until Black Friday! Hahaha :) But I've been in serious need of a new Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink so I went to Sephora only thinking I'd walk out with just that.... And then I came out with 3 new Bobbi Brown products! Here's a picture of what I got!

1. Bobbi Brown's Rich Lip Color SPF 12 in Mod Pink 13

2. Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Stone 24

3. Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink

I love love love my gel eyeliner from here, I can pretty much say it's my HG (Holy Grail) gel eyeliner! A+!! I've been using it for about 3-4 years and I haven't had much problem with its application. Sometimes it does dry out but then I just get a cotton swab and wipe off the top dried out layer and it seems to work just fine. Also, since gel eyeliner requires a liner brush to apply, I tend to just wash my liner brush right before I use it so I think the fact that my brush is a little damp before I dip it into the product helps with the consistency of the liner.

As for the Long-Wear Cream Shadow, I got my first two Bobbi Brown cream shadows exactly almost a year ago on Black Friday at the Cosmetic Company Store at the Outlet Mall and I've been in love since. My first two cream shadows were: Sandy Gold and Steel. But I've been looking for a less shimmery and more of a matte mauvey grey-pink color and I found Stone! Here's a picture:

I swatched it in the store and its consistency was as awesome as I expected it to be and the color came out a nice pinky-mauve color. Can't wait to try it out!

For the lipstick, I actually had my eye on Bobbi Brown's Lip Color in Sandwash Pink but when I swatched it and even tried it on in store, it actually came out rosier than I thought (DO NOT trust the picture on the Bobbi Brown site, it is NOT that pale). It was also too similar to my actual lip color and didn't really make much of a difference on me so I looked at the other colors. The one I reallyyyy wanted after swatching the sample was Bobbi Brown's Rich Lip Color in Bare Pink (nudey soft pink) but alas, they were out of stock :( So what caught my eye was Mod Pink!

It looks a little desert-brownish red here, but in actuality it's a pretty bright wash of medium pink! It actually kind of reminds me of CoverGirl's LipPerfection in Delight.. Makes me wonder what they would look like swatched next to each other..........

The LEFT is CoverGirl's Delight.
The RIGHT is Bobbi Brown's Mod Pink.

See? Very similar. I would almost go as far as to say that it could be a dupe :) Delight is more of a baby pink though, while Mod Pink is a brighter pink with a tad more red in it.
